ST. PAUL'S \NNIVEKSAKY SOCIAL.

The anniversary social in connection with St. Paul's Church took p\ee in the Hall last evening, when there was a fair attendance. During the evening tlw. following 1 programme was submitted: — Songs, "Oh, for the Bloom of My Own Native Heather," Miss Roberts.. "A Year Ago," Miss Towsey, "My Gentle Child," Mrs Strong, "Gloomy Winter's Now Awa'," and "Jock O'Hazelden" ("Afton \\ ater" being given as an encore to the former), Mr Peter Bell, song, Mr. Strong, vocal duet "The Twin Duet," Messrs H. Nay lor and H. Reed, quartette "Good Night, Beloved Maid," Messrs W. Thomson, Morton, Naylor, and Reed; recitations, "Uncle Podger"* and "The Single Hair," Mr J. B. Reed. A very interesting address was also given by the Rev. J. A. Asher. During an interval refreshments were handed round. The proceedings terminated by the Rev. J. Itoss pronouncing the Benediction.

Those who understand Esperanto, and those wishful of learning that language are requested to meet at tho Technical School on Thursday, at 7.30 p.m.
