HOUSE SANITATION.

Locture by Or Frengtey

Last evening- at the Technical School Dr. Frenfiiey, District Health Officer, delivered an exceedingly instructive lecture on the above subject to a'larg"c audience of those interested in the building trade. Such a lecture cannot but be of great advantage to the health of the community. A fortnight aRO, trig' Doctor very ably dealt with such thing's as the aspect and lighting- of the home. Last cvoninff's lecture was devoted to some admirable hints on ventilation, water supply and the disposal of sewage. Hc> condemned the small rain tanks as at present in use on account of the diffi- < ulty experienced in keeping them in a sanitary condition. He concluded an excellent addresss by describing the form and use of the septic tank.

We are pleased to know that Dr. Frejflcy intimated that he would at some future time deal exhaustively with the septic tank system.

Mr. A. McLeod, in the absence of Mr. F. M. Spurdle, occupied the chair and moved a vote of thanks to thci lecturer, which was heartily accorded.
