BILLIARDS.

An Australian billiard record was inuuu on the evening of the 3rd inst. at Melbourne by George Gray, the boy champion, in his game .against Percy Beddoe, to whom he has conceded 1000 in 6000 up. Gray, playing in excellent form, scored a 265 break, 210 of which were off the red. This is a record for. an Australian player on a standard table. Gray's other best breaks were 109, 108 100, 74, 67, and 52; whilst Beddoe's were 57, 44, 44, and 40.
