AUSTRALIAN LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. )

The challenge match for the ladies' pedestrian championship of the Commonwealth between Madame Isa Bell, a married woman (present holder), and Miss Ivy Evans, at bouth Melbourne on April 1, resulted in a very easy victory for the latter, who won all of the three sprint events with the greatest of ease. Miss Evans covered 100 yards in 14 l-ssec. Mrs S. Drcnnan, of Sydney, has challenged the winnor.
