MARORO GOLF CLTJB. Members of this club will be pleased to learn that the first 13 holes are now ready for play. A lot of labour lias been expended on both the course and the ground. The course for the first thirteen holes is now quite clear and in very good playing order. The majority of the greens have been topdressed and sown and promise well for the orsuino' season. Several are not yet playable, but temporary greens have been provided and very good play can now be had. Tho official oronin? takes place on Saturday next. The time honoured match president v captain will take place, pairs being 1 drawn at 2 o'clock sharp, and it is hoped that a large number "will take part in the piny. New members will heritably raired off. For the benefit of Thursday players the preens ha\ie been got in ordpr and they will be able to obtain good golf. The committee are eadeavonrine to arrange for a brake to run out to the links every Saturday. Whether', this eventuates or not will depend on the support the committee receive from, members. It is

proposed to isisiio season tickets at a very moderate sum and provided enough season ticket holders arr obtained the brake will commence running on Saturday next. To have the matter brought to a head at once all members willing to take season tickets will kindly give their names in to the secret u - v, Mr Clissold (telephone, 13H), or to Mr H. P. Lewis.
