Auckland Supreme Court.
AUCKLAND, February 3. At the Supreme Court, to-day, Albert Marsden, a younig man, who pleaded guilty to forgery and theft at Onehunga, was brought up far sentence. His Honor remarked that the offences were very serious, but he did not like to send such a young man to prison. He would admit him to probation for tjy<> years. Prisoner was ordered to pay thrusts of the Court (,£3 3s 6d) in. monthty-I instalments of 10s.
Peter Alexanderadmitted a number of previous convictions for false pretences and forgery ,^'He had pleaded guilty in the lower court to forgery, and was sentenced, to 18 months' hard- labour.
John Hoper, a young man, who was committed for trial from Waipu, charged with breaking and entering, and theft of a quantity of wearing apparel, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour
