Mr Churchill, replying to Mr Cox, said that General Botha, in asking for the retention of Imperial troops in South Africa had not offered to contribute towards their maintenance, but the Transvaal's revenue was the same as that of India. CAPETOWN, June 10. The Het Yolk Congress has petitioned the Government to abolish all municipalities except Johannesburg and Pretoria, and to re-eslablihh the old town regulations.
