Mr Oaks, a membei ot the Assembly, said he was glad to «cc that the hrst attempt to introduce professionalism in New Zealand had been .shut down. Mr R. Teece e>aid it was gratifying to note that the first attempt in New Zealand had met with biich a formidable rebuff. Mr Lea, manager of the Quensland team, did not think there was the slightest chance of professionalism getting a hold on Queensland,, but there was always a danger of it creeping in. They were determined to watch and keep the gaa* clean.
