At 2 o'clock this morning, whilst on her run horn Wanganui to -Wellington, the steamer Huia, grounded on the end of Long I'oint (Kapiti Island), and remained there for twenty minutes. Her engines were put astern, and the vessel then eamr off. She is leaking slightly, but does not appear to be seriously damaged. The vessel will be placed on the patent slip for examination.
