AUCKLAND, June 7. The Mayor submitted to the City Counn) a statement ot the estimated receipts and expenditure tor the current year. The receipts, including water account, are estimated at 14s lid. The expeniture is estimated at =£51,687 6s lid. leaving a prospective credit balance of ,£14,908 Bs. The indebtedness of the city on March 31st last was .£602,000 and loans issued during the year have made the gross indebtedness The estimates provide .£40,000 for streets. £2000 for street, lighting, jL'oOOO tor improvement and maintenance of parks and reserves.
