(Per United Pres9 Association.) WELLINGTON, December 20. 'The High Commissioner writes to the Bon. J. McGowan that the circulars he distributed in German , amongst the editors of the leading' German papers when on their visit to' England, with a view to securing a market for New Zealand meat in Germany, are bearing good fruit. The German Press is now giving much attention to the question, induced by the extraordinary height to- which prices have increased, and references to New Zealand meat are numerous. Mr Beeves says he is keeping in touch with the .question, and has considerable hope that the opposition of the agrarian party to' the introduction of foreign meat will be overcome.
