DRAUGHTS.
Messrs. J. Wallace (two lives) and Phillips (one life) played four games last evening for the Wanganui junior draughts championship. The latter got two wins and a draw. The final has yet to be decided.
The final round for the Wanganui District Draughts Championship will be commenced to-night, when Mr W. H. Smith (2 lives) meets Mr J. Anderson (one life). These two gentlemen are the best exponents of the game in Wanganui, and a first-class contest, should result. The match will be played in the Wanganui Club rooms in St. Hill Street, and anybody interested is welcome to attend.
