Turkey has granted the Smyrna-Aidin railway a fifty years' prolongation of concessions, also the right to an extension of the line to Lakes Ejgardir and Buldur. Thia great success is djue to the action of Sir Nicholas O'Conor, British ambassador at Constantinople.
