LEVIN AND CO.'S REPORT.

Messrs Levin and Co report under date September 14: —

\Ve offered a small catalogue of wool, and 1750 skins, 200 hides, and a quantity of tallow and horse hair.

Wool. — There was a firm tone in the market, and all lota realised last sale prices. We quote: — Coarse crossbred BJd to 9£d, inferior and log-stained 7d to 7Jd, pieces aad bellies 5d to Gd, crutchings euporior 6Jd to 7}d. good 6d to 6}d, seedy and inferior 3d to s,'d.

Skins- — Prices ruled firm at last rates, with a strongo." demand for green skins and dead skins. We quote: — Merinos 8d to BJd, fine crossbreds 84' d8 4 'd to PJd, coarse croGsbrcds Bscl to 9d, dead skins 6£d to 7fd, dead hoggets 7d to 7id, short wools 7d to Tjjil, lamb skins 8d to 9d, woolly green skins 7s to 8s 6d.

Tallow. — Strong competition at advancing prices. Parcels in shipping older sold at £'2-1 10s, tir.<3 at .£lB to JHI9, rough fat at £'14 15s. Iloiiio hair sold a.t Is Gd to le 8d per lb. Horns, 7s to 16s 6d ror 100.

Hides. — There v.as a large attendance of buyers, and bidding was very animated, and prices were realised that have not beon known in this market for years. Best ox advanced gd ror lb, and cow Jd per lb. Inferior hides alao advanced £d. We quote: — Ox hides, 7Glbs and over, GJd to 6»d; 60ll« to 701bs. (Jjd to GJd ; sOlbs to GOlbs, 6d to 6id; cow hides, oOlbs to 60 lbs. 6d to 6Jd; 40Iba to "><>lbs 6d to GJd; calf skins, best G}d to 7Jd, cut 4}d to 6d, slipr-y 2}d to 4J-1 ; cut and slippy hides 4d to :>\d, sL.ig hides .*Ud to 4'd, bull hides 3£d to 4d.
