STOCK REPORT.

NIXON, BADDELET, AND FORLONG. Messrs Nixon, Baddeley and Forlong report as follows: — We held our usual fortnightly sale at our Wanganui yards on Wednesday, 12th instant, when we were favoured with a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Sheep maintained former prices, but prohibitive reserves in one or two cases hindered business. Bidding for cattle was somewhat 9lack, but we succeeded in quitting most of the lines passed in after the sale. We quote : — Cattle. — Forward cows £3 3s, 15 to 18months mixed cattle 375. 6d, yearling heifers 235, 15-month mixed cattle 20s to 255, mixed yearlings 22s to 235, mixed weaners lte to £1, others (poor) 5s 6d to 12s.

Sheep. — Forward wethers 20s, others 16s 2d, hoggets 12s, poor 10s, empty f.m. ewes 5s Id.

Pigs. — Porkers (good) 33s to 365, others 275, good stores ]8s 6d to 2()s.
