TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, — As a ratepayer, 1 write to state that the annual meeting of ratepayers held on the evening of the 3rd inst., at liastown, was an illegal ono. Section 6-1 of The Road Boards Act, 1882. reads: "The Board shall hold an annual meeting at noon on some day, etc." It follows, therefore, that any business transacted at the late meeting hold in the evening is null and void. — I am, etc., D.
