Sungod, whom Mr' G. G. Stead was unlucky enough to lose last woek, started six times last season, winning upon a • couple of occasions, his triumphs being i recorded in the Juvenile Plato, five fur- , longs, on the first day of the C.J.C. Spring Meeting, and tho 'Great Northern Foal Stakes., six furlongs, at the A.Ii.C. Summer Meeting. During the just-opened term Sungod was seen out upon three occasions, his record reading- two wins — the , New Stakes and Grantham Stakes at th? A.J.C. Meeting — and second to his stable pal Noctxiiform in the A.J.C. Derby. Mr iStead has a coining two-year-old full brother to Sungod; Boniform by name,the elder half-brother, Martian, by Martagon, having recently 'l>een sold by the 1 Yaldbursfc sporb to Mr Buchanan, of Little ' , River. Otterden, who produced Sungod and Co., is an imported English mare, by Sheen out of Host Morn, and is still the property of Mr Stead. Eruption, tho big son of Somnue, is to be given - a chance • by George Colello to distinguish himself over hurdles. The Dannevirke Jockey Club have drawn up a very attractive two days' card for their annual moating, which takes place ' on the 7th and Bth of next March. The prize, money allotted for the fixture amounts to ,£I4OO, seven of the events having three-figure amounts attached to them, the principal being the Dannevirke Cup of • 200 soys.
