(Per United Press Association.)

/ AUCKLAND, November 30. The inquest touching the death of Mra Margaret Amelia Higgins, who was burned to death, in a recent fir© at "Lynnholme" Private Hospital, was concluded to day. In the course of his summing-up the Coroner said they had to deal with the question of whether it waa advisable to allow a nursing home or private hospital to be conducted in a building (1) not of brick and (2) having two storeys. It wa3 quite within their province to ask for legislation in this respect. The jury after a short retirement brought in a verdict that deceased was accidentally burned to death, but there was no evidence to show how the fife "originated. The jury also desired the Coroner to make representations to the Government, pointing' out tfce necessity for the regulation of U~ censing and construction of private hospitals. The jury also added that having heard the evidence and inspected the "Perfection" heater, they were satisfied that no explosion took place. A further recomendation was ' made, pointing Qut that public security from fire was lessened by the different-sized hydrants in use in the city and adjoining boroughs, besides inadequate water supply.
