SALE OF BLOOD STOCK.

ASHBURTON, November 8. Yesterday a dispersal sale of Mr HugoFriedlandsr's Kelburns stud was held, when fifty-five blood boivses were offered. There was a erood attendance, including Sir George Clifford, Hon. W. Johnston. Hon. J. D. Ormond, Major-Genera 1 Babington, Messrs G. G. Stead, J. F. Reid, J. W. Abbott, lan Duncan, G. Palmer, E. J. Watt, R. J. Mason, M. Hobbs, and J. F. Buchanan. The prices realised were satisfactory. Twenty-one yearlings were disposed of at an average of 55£ guinoas. and 20 brood mares at an average of 124J guineas. The principal soles were:—Gos-. sip 340 gns and Escapade 320 gns to Mr J. F. Buchanan; Sans Pcur. 360 gns, to Mr G. G. Stead; and Parerca, 200 tjns, tr the Hon. Johnston. The stallion Pilgrim's Proerr<«s went to Mr E. Gates at 800 gns, and Finland to Mr R.
