BELTING IN FACTORIES.
Mr Millar is inquiring of the Minister, of Labour if his attention has been drawn to the account of a shocking accident which occurred to a young girl in a factory in. Dunedin through her hair being caught in some belting, resulting in her scalp being torn qff^; will the Minister . institute a searching inquiry; and with the object of preventing a recurrence of similar accidents, will he have a thorough inspection made of all factories where machinery is in use, and, if necessary, order such safeguards to.be put in as will protect any person, with ordinary care, from accident.
