ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES:
A Tram Fatality.

DUNEDIN, August 21.
An enquiry was held to-day into the circumstances connected with the death of James Green, who was thrown out of ,abuggy through the vehicle being struck by a tramcar. The accident happened on tho 3rd inst., and Green appeared to be getting on well till the 7th, when erysipelas, complicated by Bright's disease set in. The evidence showed that the horse deceased was driving ca^t " a shoe, and deceased attempted to cross to the right side and the car struck the hind wheels. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death, no blame being attachable to anyone.
CHRISTCHURCH. August 21.
Halligan, employed on the Midland Railway works, fell from a trolley whilst returning from this city yesterday. He was taken to Staircase Gully Station, but died almost immediately.
