RUSH OF AETESIAN WATER.

The pipes of the artesian more at Sale (Vie.) are now down 277 ft. There was a sudden flow of water on Friday, which has increased rapidly, and it is now estimated that over 1,000,000 gallons per day is the flow. The water is very black, and considerable quantities of sand, together with a substance resembling brown coal, are coming up the pipes. The water, which is expected to clear in a few days, has a distinct mineral odour. '« The outpour is so strong that the market square is flooded, and five men are employed night and day to clear the sand from the channels.
