POLITICAL NOTES.
(From Our Parliamentary Special). (By Telegraph.) "STICKING UP." WELLINGTON, August 12. Objection was raised in the House last night to the system that has grown up of persons (it was alleged they wore in- , cbriated) accosting members in the Parlia--] mentary grounds. Mr Barber complained j that he was "stuck up" in the grounds by j people who would not be allowed on Lambton Quay. He suggested that a policeman should be stationed in the Parliamentary grounds. The Premier said there was a good story going round that a~ man who was intoxicated sent in for Mr Bedford, as he wanted to take the pledge. (LaugMer.) Seriously speaking, however, he would men-, tipn the matter to the Minister of Justice to see if some steps could not be taken to prevent people from troubling m«mbers. i
