ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

BLENHEIM; August 11. A fatal accident occurred on Friday evening at th© Wellington and Marlborough Lime and Cement Company's new works at the elevation in the vicinity of Picton,- whereby an employee named Albert Kilpatrick, 23 years of- age, lost his life. i Kilpatrick -was working on a ladder when he slipped and fell, becoming entangled in the machinery. • He died shortly after ad. j mission to the Picton Hospital. It is supposed that the neck was broken. Deceased was a nativo of Dunedin.
