A German Demonstration.
Press Association.— Telegraph .—Copyright. Received August 12, 8.30 a.m. PEKIN, August 11. The German cniiser Hansa steamed several hundred miles up the Yang-tse-Kiang. This is believed to be intended as a set off against the recent visit of the British battleship Glory, and to emphasise Germany's refusal to recognise Britain's sphere of influence in the Yang-ts© Valley.
