THE FLAXBOURNE CASE.

BLENHEIM, February 4. _ The following witnesses have given evidence in the Flaxbourne case on behalf of the' claimants :— F. Bobinson, of Cheviot; R. Lotter, of Akaroa ; J. Davis, of Manawatu ; J. Oliver, of Cheviot ; J., Coope, of Little River; and F. Lethbridge, of Turakina. • The value of the estate, excluding the area, reserved by the owners, range from .£292,780 to .£309,000. All the witnesses described the property as extremely healthy sheep country, free from rabbits and noxious weeds, and capable o£«great improvement. A considerable proportion of. the flat country was fit.for 'dairy farming. Mr Robinson, who managed the ' Cheviot Estate for sixteen years, described Flaxbourne as better, if anything, tlian Cheviot. Tlie case for the owners will, be continued on Monday.
