iNAPIEK-, December 8. The largest fire which has occurred hert for several years broke out about two inmates to 12 this evening, in offices lised ac a shorthand and typewriting school by Mr C. E. Walker. This building was a. mass of flame when the, fire was discovered and the flames quickly spread to the Tyser Lino Company's brick offices in front of .WaikerX and completely {rutted th>m. It has now caught' the shop of Messrie 1 William Bros., oil and colour, merchants! but is being got under, and will probably be prevented from spreading &ny further. Both Walkers's and the Tyser office are , owned by Mrs Robert" Dobson, and are insured, as far as can be^learnt, for JE2OOO, but the loss will probably be -over that amount. ' ■
