Higgie. , NEW MEMBERS.— The following new members were elected — Messrs A. O. ; Hardy,- Goodman, Bertram, M. Campbell, W. Davy, <A. A; Gower, S. Handley,' G. Milligan, F. G. Shields, J. Verry, A. H. , Watson, Jas. Wilson, J. Young, F. Young, and J. Young (junr.).' ' Life Members— Messrs C. Smith, G. Harper, find W. Birch. , PROTESTS.— Mr George Walker protested against the first prize in thoroughbred entires' being awarded to Sylvia Park, on account of the class being judged before Ihe specified time, viz., 11 a.m. He got on the ground before the time advertisedi, and foxmd that the class had hcen judged. It was a matter of serious consequence, to hi in, as untruthful and detrimental reports had been spread which iefleeted on his horse. Resolved that the secretary write to Mr Walker apologising i'or the mistake of the horse stewards, "which, was due to a misapprehension on the/part of tho chief horse steward, and regretting ditat he should have suffered in consequence, and that the entrance fee be returned. — Mr Moore protested against Messrs Gammon and Co. "being awarded first prize in ton and a half class as well as in ton class.- with same horse. Resolved that secretary - 4txU.S to Messrs Gammon and. Co., inforaiiiig them that t the rules of the Association did not permit thetn to win a prize with the same horse in-* the ton and, ton and "a half classes, and that the elect which class they take first prize in; and that secoud award in the other class be awarded first prize. "PRODUCE S.HFJD.— Resolved that the Christ Church Club be given free use. of produce Bhed for floral fete free of charsro on the condition that they mnke good all damage done. — Resolved that Met-sts Higgie, Nixon, Sinclair, and Commins be a committee to attend to sanding and asphalting floor of produce ahed and erecting benehinjr. - VOTES OF THANES.— Resolved that votes of thanks be . accorded to all the ladies and gentlemen who so kindly acted as judges at "the recent Show. — Resolved that hearty votes of thanks be accorded to Messrs- Donald Grant and J. 4 T» Sinclair, for the energetic way in which they had worked in connection with the recent Show. These two members stood out above all the other members^bf the committee in their untiring efforts to make the Show the great success .it w£te. After several complimentary remarks the votes were carried with accl-aniatiDii. PET LAMllS.— Resolved that as the pet lambs were judged the first day, and only second prize'waa awarded to tfce best Jamo (which was not shown. until* the seonnd day), that two guineas be paid to 6xhibi : SPECIAL 'PRIZES.i^The following special prizes have boen donated for next year —Mr Guy ififc 2b, Mr Jas.
