FORDELL.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
The Fordell Publio Hall was opened last evening by Mr E. Young, who must have been gratified 'by the success of his . efforts to supply- a long-felt want. The ball, which was held to commemorate the auspicious occasion, proved a most enjoyable function, being- largely attended and generally enjoyed. The building was artistically decorated with flags and evergreens, while' the refreshments provided were of the most appetising description. They were provided by Mr M. Richardson, who, with his nimble assistants, were kept busily employed acceding to the demands of the company. The music war supplied by Mr Gatneld, of Aramoho, and gave every satisfaction, the ball being one of the most enjoyable held in. the district. Great preparations are now being made for the sale of work in connection with the social of the Scotch Church, which promises to be an unqualified success. The affair will probably be held in the hew hall on the 19th inst.
