(Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 25. At the Criminal Sessions, his Honor's charge was very brief. There are 12 prisoners for five coses of theft, four for assault, and two for assaults on gills Barker, age 37, for the - theft of £10 at Roxburgh, was sentenced to six weeks' hard labour; ana Charles Tyrell, aged 28; theft of jewellery at. the Pisa Hotel, one month's hard labour. George Lee, aged 65, on five charges of housebrealring, had a very bad record. The prisoner said he never had served a sentence in New South Wales in his life. The statement that he had was nothing but a pack of lies, and he demanded a remand until the New South Wales authorities were brought ' over. His Honor said that did not affect the conclusion that the prisoner was an old hand at crime, and sentenced him to five years' hard labour. Henry Kelly, aged 20, breaking and -entering, six months' probation. In the case Orr v. Orr the Judge granted a decree nisi, to made absolute three months hence. OAMABTJ, November 25. At the S.M. Court to-day & man named Pinkerton was fined £5 and costs 13s for procuring liquor for a prohibited person.
