ANOTHER HOTEL FIRE IN WELLINGTON.
The Oriental Burned Down Narrow Escape of the Inmates Several Injured. ~ (Per United Press Association.) ' WELLINGTON, November 25. Just after 2 a.m. a fire broke out in tlie Oriental Hotel, Willis Street, which was entirely destroyed, whilg the shops of Mr F. Grady, jeweller/and Mr 'Christenson, tobacconist, on each, side were alsq ruined. . The hotel- was a threestorcf building of wood and iron, and so rapid was the spread of the flames that many of the lodgers had narrow escapes from death. Several had to jump from the upper floors, and of these three were taken to the hospital injured — viz., Charles Bell, son of Mr Jas. Bell 'of tho Ada Delroy Company, William Crawford, dealer in skins, and Jack Darcy, labourer. [We understand that Mr Christenson intended going up the Wanganui Eiver to-morrow, and has been compelled to return.] . , '
