The prisoners ' at Waiotapu Valley have planted 47} acres there, and have also planted some thousands of native trees and shrubs in the Hot Springs Reserve at Whakar'ewarewa. 'There are nearly three-quarters of- a million of trees in the Government nursery at Tapanui fit for planting out.
