HANDSOME OFFER OF MEN, HOUSES AND MONEY.
A SPLENDID CONTRIBUTION. The Mayor received the following telegram yesterday : — "Sent by post application for five men for Transvaal; all find horses; also sent cheque (Studholme, J. F.) for ,£§o, and Ruanui employees .£lO for "More Men" I ! Fund.— D. Ledward, Euanui." ! In reply Mr Hatrick telegraphed : — D. Ledward, Ruanui, Taihape.— Accent grateful thanks for loyal and patriotic offer. Please convey same to men offering, Mi Studholme, and employees.-— Alexander Hatrick, Mayor." The following additional telegram was also sent:— "D. Ledward, Rnanui, Taihape.—Will advise men this week when roqu'.rcd for examination. Horses must bo from 15 to 15.3 hands. No greys or roans.— Alexander Hatrick, Mayor *
