A YOUNG BRITISHER'S DONATION
Ihe Mayor this morning received the following letter: — Wanganui, January 19, 1900. The Mayor of Wanganui. Dear sir, — I was at the mass meeting the other night, and heard the Eov Q Bond lefer to people not being able to ghc (heir cheques, but they can all give the small sums. I happen to be one of those sort. If I could only afford to give my cliequo I would willingly do bo, but I will givo what I can, and I therefore enclose os to bo devoted to W.iDganui's Special Contingent. — I ha\o the honour to be, sir, your ffbedient servant, A iOUNG BRITISHER TO THE BACKBONE.
