REFUGEES' BELIEF FUND.

The following letter has been received from tho Governor of Cape Colony: — Government House, Capetown, 6th December, 1899. lour Worship, — I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 25th October last, and on behalf of British South Africa to thank you and the citizens of Wanganui for the expressions of sympathy contained therein. I have further to acknowledge and thank you for the sum of ,£IOO now received through, the Standard Bank of South Africa, being tho fourth contribution of like amount from the citizens of Wangainii to tho Belief Fund for Political Refugees.
