ACTIVITY OF COLONIAL TROOPS
THEY NONPLUS THE BEBELS. Received January 17, at 12,20 a.m. CAPETOWN, January 16. Sixty of the N.S.W. Lancers and 120 of Remington's Corpi on the 12th. drove tho Griqualand West lebels from Prilka Drift. The British force crossed the river and chased the rebels from kopje to kopje until night, thus preventing them from joining the Boer commando, and capturing much ammunition and forage. The colonials, by their free and irrogular method of nghting, completely nonplussed the rebels.
