POSTAL CONFERENCE.
(By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) (Per United Press" Association.) (Eeceived April 1, at 9.50 a.m.) Hobabt, April 1. The Postal Conference negatived the Canadian proposal to reduce the postage between the United Kingdom and all parts of the Empire from five to three cents. It was decided that insets and handbills Bhonld not be carried as newspaper supplements. It was also decided to remonstrate with Queensland against" the seveiity of the law with reference to gambling and indecent advertisements.
