POSTAL CONFERENCE.

The Postal Conference negatived the Canadian proposal to' reduce Ih'e postage between the United Kingdom and all parts of the Empire from bye to three 'cents. 1 It was decided that insets and handbills should not be carried as newspaper supplements. It was also decided to remonstrate with Queensland against the severity of the law ' with reference to'gambling and inSecent advertisements.
