THE INDIAN MONETARY SYSTEM.

In the House of Commons, Lord George Hamilton, Secretary of State for India, said it would be madness to open the Indian mints without somo international arrangements. He was willing that a committee should enquire into the Indian monetary system and the proposals of the Government for the establishment of a gold currency in India.
