We had our usual complement of fat cattle. Bidding was brisk throughout, and prices firm at 14s the lOOlbs for ox beef, and 12s 6d for cow. Fat bullocks £5 to £6, others £5 to £5 2s 6d, fat cows £3 2s Gd to £3 15s. We had a full entry of sheep at generally second rate to medium sorts and were relatively higher than last week by Is per head. Fat ewes 7s Id to 7s 9d, medium ewes 6s lid to 7s Id, light ewes 6s to Gs 2d, fat lambs (light to medium weights) 6s 4d to 7s 3d, fat wethers (light weight) 8s Gd to 8s 9d, stores 6s 6d. The bulk of the pigs were either wanting in condition or were deficient in quality, but made their value. Large porkers, 18s lo 19s, medium 14s 3d to 16s Gd, small porkers and stores 11s 9d to 12s Cd.
