ATROCIOUS OUTRAGES,

The Pacific coast has recently been honified by two atroolouß dimes, one the poisoning of his brother anil sister by Frank Belew, of tnnsin, California, and the other tho murder of his brother by Wm. Because Postmaster Baker, of Lake City, Georgia, is a negro, his home was attuckeJ by " Whitecapsi" on theulght.of theSJnil. ThehPuse was burned mid halt in ruins. The Postmtat'f flud his baby were killed, and his wife and their daughter woro shot and maimed for life. The first indication ot I the assault was the arrival of 100 white men, armed with pistols and shot guvs. j They first fiiod the house and then Bhot [ down the iumatc3 as they attempted to escape from tho burning structure. Baker was "hot doad as he orossed the threshold, then tho orowd opened fire on Ilia wife, who, with tlie babjun har arms, was following, him. A bullet oraslldd tlirqugh tile infatit'B skull, and then tho H'oman fell bleeding from several wounds. There is great excitement over the outrage. ____________
