Reports from Berber state that the forces undor Mahmud, tho Dervibh general, and Osman Digna left Shendy,' on the Nile, uotweon Metemcnah and Moduroan, on the 12th inst, and are rapidly advancing northwards. Tho Askaris, from Kassala, oaplured the Dorvish position beyond the Albara River. The Dorvishes lost 20 men. During tho fight a son of Osman Digna narrowly escaped being captured.
