Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co.'s Wanganui Stock Report.

We had a full list of sales for the week ending Saturday, The Johnsonville sales of Tuesday have already been reported upon. On Wednesday, at St Hill Street, the supply of entries did not extend beyond a few pens of cow beef, for which theie was no demand. Sheep were dull of sale, and mostly sold privately. Good store wetheis made from 7s to 7s 9d; 2tooth ewes, 6s Gd ; fat ewes, medium weights, 5s 9d ; fat wethers, Bs, For pigs there was a brisk sale. Baconors, 24s to 30s fid : porkers, lGs 3d to 19s 6d; smaller, 12s ; stores, 8s Id. On Thursday we held a clearing sale at Rangitatau, the property of Messrs Pea and Alexander. There was a good attendance and brisk bidding. All the stock was in capital order, and full prices were realised. 2-tooth ewes, 0s 7d ; 2-tooth wethers, 7s 5d ; others, Gs lid ; shorn lambs, 3s lid ; culls, 2s 7d ; breeding Owes, mixed ages., 4s 2d. Yearlings to 18 months heifers, £1 OsGd ; 2}-year heifers, 345 ; 12 to 18 month steers, 2Gs ; 2£-year steers, £2 14s ; well-bred young cows, with calves at foot, 17s to 20s. At Waverley, on Friday, sheep largely oxceeded the advertised numbers. Wethers of any quality and ewes of a good stamp sold freely, and made increased prices, but all other classes receded in value. On these terms the bulk was disposed of. For cattle there was little or no demand. Weaners to yearlings, lGs ; 2-year steers, 37s ; forward wethers, good skins, 7s lOd to 8s Id ; 2-tooth, Gs Gd to 7s 7d ; good 2-tooth ewes, 7s 4d ; others, 2s Gd to 5s 6d ; oulls, Is Gd : shorn lambs, 2s 8d to 3s 7d; woolly (poor class) , 3s 3d ; Lincoln 2-tooth rams, lg to 2gs ; aged rams, ss. Saturday's sale— Fowls, 2s Gd to 3s Id ducks, 2s Gd to 2s lOd the couple.
