The Warnote-Zanella Protest.
Both Owners Paid" in Full. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, March 9. At the summer meeting of the Wellington 8.C., James Macara, owner of the horse which ran second to Zanella in the President's Handicap, entered a proteat on the ground of the improper acceptance of the first horse. The stewards admit the error aud have decided to pay Mr Macaw the value of the stakes, £127 10s. Mr Rathbone, own6r of Zanella, was also paid the value of the stakes.
Owners aud trainers are reminded that ' nominations for the Patea B.C. Easter Meeting close on Friday next with the ' secretary, Mr G. T. Potto.
