AUCKLAND ITEMS.
(Per United Pross Association.) Auckland October 23. The body of Mrs Mead n victim of the Wairoa boating accident has been found. At the inquest n, verdict of aocidently drowned was returned. The body of her husband has not yet been found. The Waihi-Silverton return for the past month was 760 tons crushed for 406 ozs, valued at £804. There is high grade ore still in the kilns. Intelligence has been received in Auckland that the London market is at present without any animation, and that no immediate revival is looked lot. Its present condition is attributed to the uncertainty legarding the Presidential election in the United States and to the unsettled state of affairs in Turkey.
