THE ELITE COMEDY COMPANY.

There was a large and enthusiastio audience to witness the performance last (Thursday) night of the above versatile and talented company. Those present wore somewhat exacting in the way of recalls, and they had no oause for complaint on the soore of not getting 'enough' for their money. Another entirely new programme was submitted, the firic part consisting of ballads, medleys, serio<ooorio songs and dance turns, was well received, encores bsing demanded from almost every performer. Mr Horace Bent fairly convulsed the audience in his burlesque lecture ' Experiences of Baw Correspondent, a la Archibald Forbes,' and after appearing again and again those present olamoured for more. That pleasing contralto Miss Amy Rowo gave a finished rendering of the favourite song ''Listening.' Though tbe Australian team of Delohery, Craydon, and Holland in the Irish Patter Speciality act, came on early in tbe seoond part it appeared as if they would leave no time for the other turns. Beoall after recall was good naturedly responded to, »nd these three clever artists gave the audience & wonderfnl variety of business. Miss Eva Leoto also reoeived a big reooptian, and it seemed impossible for her to give enough. A very laughable faroioal comedy, considerably above the average run of suoh things, entitled " The Foiled Mashers," wont, well, and named oontinued merriment.

To-night the company oonolude their short season, as they are booked to appear in Hawera to-morrow night. The show given is well worth seeing, and the prioes very low.
