A Vivanadiere's Death.
An old vivapdiere, who had reoived several medals as a reward 'for her servioes during many campaigns, has -fust obme.to a sad end in Paris. > Aifew.3rfeks.ago a relative died and left her 'a fortune amounting in ronnd numbers fcoVJ(JSPOO. JThe usual formalities were gone through and this sum was handed over. The old woman next hired a porter and went to the house of her deceased kinsman for the purpose of securing his effects. But in one of the oupboards a quantity of wine was discovered, and the pair spent the day in drinking together. In the night the woman looked herself in her room by herself, and continued her orgie. This she continued to keep up for a couple of days, oreatiag a terrible noise in her drunken, frenzy, and smashing the furniture and other effects of whioh she was the possessor. . At length, she bayamo wearied, oat, and two days later- the police forced an entry. Th«y found, upon searohing the house, the old vivandiere lying dead In one of the rooms, surrounded by the debris she had created, but the money which' had been handed over to her was safely locked up in one of the chests.
