Edwin advises that the northern part of the North Island is now within the limit of a cyclone of unusual extent, and there have been well-defined evidences of its continual approach during the last two dayß The centre is now not much more than 200 miles north from the North Capo, and is travelling to the south and southeast This route will bring all the country northward of Lyttelton and Weslport within tha area of the disturbance.
