. — «. The London Markets(By Electric Telegraph — Copyright.) (Per United Press Association) Lobdon, Jauuary 10. The total quantity of wheat and ilour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,920,000 quarters and for the continent 988,000 quarters. Ten thousand quarters of Victorian wheat sold at 28s 9d per quarter. A press wire says that tho Tarawera, which arrived at Wellington from Sydney this afternoon, brought 134 passengers for all ports. The committee of the Caledonian Society have decided to place seats outside the enclosure on St, John's Hill on next Monday week, co that visitors may view the sports vith much moro comfort than heretofore.
