(Per United Press Association.) Wbimngion, January 28. The writ for the Egmont seat was issued yesterday, returnable on the 7th of March. This morning 2 runs in the Waitaki district, 1 in Shag Valley, 2 in Roxburgh, and 1 in Cheviot, advertised for sale for a term of years by the late Government, wera withdrawn, ss tho Government propose to offer part of them in small grazing runs and the remainder under settlement conditions.
